FAQ & security

How XA1 works on iPhone, where data lives, and what the agent can open.

What is XA1?

XA1 is an iPhone-first personal AI agent team. You message bots like colleagues. They open native iOS apps, draft work, keep a desk running, and only come back when something needs your approval.

How is this different from a chatbot?

A chatbot answers. XA1 acts. The iPhone bot opens Maps, Messages, Mail, Notes, Calendar and Shortcuts. Comms drafts and waits. Chief delegates. The desk keeps jobs when you lock the phone.

Where does my data live?

Chats, memory, jobs and settings stay in your browser localStorage. XA1 does not store your history on our servers. Optional cloud inference is stateless.

How does the iPhone shortcut work?

Install the official XA1 iPhone shortcut. It can pass screenshots, clipboard, and system state into the agent, then run the action the agent returns — still on your device.

Is XA1 affiliated with xAI, Grok, or Apple?

No. XA1 is an independent product. The name means eXtensible Agent 1. Apple, iPhone and Shortcuts are trademarks of their owners.

How do free decentralized RDP desks work?

The agent or you create a desk code. Option 1: peer-to-peer WebRTC (your screen, Cloudflare STUN, no VPS). Option 2: a standard .rdp file to YOUR Windows PC on LAN. Option 3: a free cloudflared quick tunnel from your machine. Nobody rents a cloud desktop.

Is the AI free and uncensored?

Yes. XA1 routes today’s top free model (Llama 4 / 3.3, DeepSeek, Qwen) with no moral lecture. It still refuses child sexual content, help planning violent crime, and WMD. Adult and controversial questions are answered.

Can it edit tables like on iPhone?

Yes. Ask for a sheet or open Files. Tap cells like Numbers. The agent can create tables, set A1 = 40, and add rows from chat.
